Playground Supervisor (2.5 hours/day) - Glenwood Intermediate School
FSLA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SALARY: $10.00/hour
WORK YEAR: 167 days
REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to pass fingerprint criminal background check.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
Must be agile and mobile
Must have visual ability to observe children over a large area
Must be able to work outdoors in all types weather
JOB GOAL: To monitor the behavior and activities of children during lunch recess to ensure the safety of all students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Listed below but not limited to:
Enforce all rules and policies directed toward the use of playground facilities
Anticipate potential safety concerns and take steps to correct them
Notify the administration of any hazards to children on the playground
Handle minor discipline problems and refer severe problems to assistant principal
Refer injured students to the nurse's office, seek additional assistance when necessary
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year are in accordance with recommendations established by the Superintendent of Schools and immediate supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands: During inclement weather, patrol grade level rooms on a continuous basis enforcing room rules.
EVALUATION: The basis of the evaluation will be the extent to which the performance responsibilities of the job are successfully handled and the extent to which yearly action plans and job goals are met (as applicable).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
