Personal Lines Account Manager

Overview of PositionThis position provides superior service to existing clients, assists the Agent with new business process and builds relationships between the insurance company, Agent and client.
Along with assisting the Agent with new business process, daily tasks will include all areas of general service to existing clients, such as, answer coverage questions, process endorsements, solve billing issues and general problem-solving.

30pm ResponsibilitiesCan you handle these responsibilities? Specific responsibilities of the Personal Lines Account Manager will include, but not limited to:
Create a Drama-Free work environment Build and maintain relationships with clients and carriers.
Provide consistent, accurate and timely communication to clients through, verbal and written correspondence.
Conduct face to face meetings with clients when needed.
Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions and exposures.
Prepare needed documents requested by the client or Agent; binders, certificates, policies and other related items.
Always document and maintain client files in Hawksoft (AMS) accurately; consistently documenting within Hawksoft in a timely manner conversations, actions performed, while following existing procedures.
Notify carrier of incidents and/or claims.
Process daily incoming emails, mail, text messages and phone requests, responding promptly.
Utilize Microsoft Outlook and Teams to maximize daily efficiency.
Know the underwriting and rating procedure for all types of personal lines policies.
Quote and issue personal line policies at Agent's request.
Personal Lines quoting must be done within 1 to 2 business days.
Prepare applications, submit to Client and Carriers; obtain required signatures and follow up to ensure timely responses.
Handle cancellations with care, saving all accounts possible with adherence to E&O guidelines.
Provide support to Agent to with clients and prospects.
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to increase new business growth.
Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
Completed required Continuing Education to meet Illinois licensing requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Understanding of personal insurance underwriting and coverage.
Ability to clearly communicate verbally & in writing with clients and carriers.
Keep up-to-date on industry and carrier changes and products.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Teams & Outlook).
Ability to follow existing processes in detail.
Motivated, organized, prioritize and self-manage work load.
A positive attitude and willingness to help others.
Maintain professional appearance.
Participate in-person or via webinar carrier/vendor training.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED required.
2
years of college a plus.
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Personal Lines Account Manager and currently holding a P&C license required.
